The effect of your search is not limited to what you can express with words. Tables and images such as graphs, photographs, illustrations, diagrams and other visuals can play an important role in effectively communicating your results. Our figures service generates numbers ready to be published, which conform to the specifications of your review. These include changes to file type, resolution, color space, font, scale, line thickness and layout (to improve readability and work appearance). A statement describing all financial conflicts of interest or absence is published in each article in the ACS`s partner newspaper and newspaper. Submissions that, in the publishers` opinion, are not new enough or are not new enough may be recommended or returned for the transmission of manuscripts without sending them for further processing. This procedure helps ensure that the many precious manuscripts containing specialized work can be deposited elsewhere without unnecessary delay. When publishing original research, ACS is committed to discouraging plagiarism, including self-plagiarism. ACS Publications uses CrossCheck`s iThenticate software to verify the resemblance of submitted manuscripts to published material. Note that your manuscript can be verified during the transmission process.
The quality of illustrations in ACS and partner magazines depends on the quality of the original files provided by the authors. The figures are not changed or improved by newspaper production employees. All graphics must be prepared and submitted in digital form. The submission of a manuscript to JACS is subject to the agreement of all authors that the notified work was not published in advance and that no part of that or other closely related work is envisaged for its publication. Perspectives are personal assessments of a field or domain, and they are more focused than complete. The authors of the perspective are invited to assess the current status of the field, with an emphasis on identifying the key progress or progress needed and looking ahead. The JACS perspective should touch on the basis of current literature, including key contributors and references, but will serve primarily to inspire and guide future research efforts. Authors may be invited by the publisher to submit perspectives. Authors interested in presenting a perspective are encouraged to contact the publisher before writing and submitting manuscripts in order to obtain conditional authorization for the proposed subject.
For consideration, unilateral proposals should be sent to publisher Peter J. Stang (firstname.lastname@example.org). The outlook is expected to be within the 5-10-page formatted newspaper range. Communication is limited to reports of urgency, current events, importance and public interest. A brief explanation of how the manuscript meets the criteria of urgency and meaning should be included in the author`s letter. It is desirable that the main conclusions be set out in the first sentences of the manuscript. The communication must be consistent with the length guidelines described in the “Creation of Manuscripts” section.
